Prayer Request
Tonight, I'm asking for prayer for my Dad and his girlfriend's family.
My Dad and I at a Halloween Benefit Dance to help fund Medical Costs
Last year on Father's Day, my Dad was on his Harley with his girlfriend in NJ heading to NY on vacation. He was hit by a drunk driver on a Suzuki bike going over 100 mph and driving on a suspended license. Both my Dad and Nicole were thrown from the bike. Nicole was thrown into the center lane of traffic and couldn't move due to the extent of her injuries. Tragically, she was then run over by a car and killed.
My dad barely escaped death and nearly lost his leg. He will probably need assistance to walk for the rest of his life.
My Dad called Nicole the love of his life. I've never seen him happier than I did with her. Having to tell him, in the hospital, that she passed was the hardest moment in my 25 years of life. Tomorrow is her birthday.
It is very sad as we just celebrated Valentine's Day without her, and now to have her Birthday come up...it's just very hard. She leaves behind many loving friends and family members including a daughter still in high school.
If you could please keep my Dad and Nicole's families in your prayers tonight and tomorrow, I would be eternally grateful. Thank you so very much.

11 Followers! Wahoo!
I'm so excited to have more followers. It means a lot to me! Hopefully I can stay good on my promise to keep blogging!
I hope everyone is having a joyous valentines day! I used to hate this holiday...being broken up with on Valentine's Day several years ago kind of cemented that lol.
But then, I met Nick. And he changed my entire outlook. Our first Valentine's Day he took me to a very nice restaurant that had vallet parking and all, and we had a great dinner. He also gave me beautiful cards and flowers.

This valentine's day, we spent it at the house, just spending time together as a couple!
We made dinner together: Chicken Parmesan and a Huge fresh Garden Salad. Then we watched movies, had a few drinks and ate some ice cream!
I got Nick some cards, Little Big Planet 2 and the new Trace Adkins CD.
Nick got me dinner and ice cream, Mudslides, Wine, and a beautiful flower Arrangement that arrived today!

Its been a really long time...
I really want to get into blogging more...I want to have interesting things to say and to post about!
I want people to be able to enjoy what I write lol! I don't have any more poems or anything to post like I did in the beginning...but I think I may be able to start posting recipes because I love to bake and cook.

I have decided I'm going to make my blog public. This is a scary thought for me, as many people still do not know about my pregnancy and subsequent miscarriage. But, this is my outlet, and I'm finally kind of past the point where I blog about that so much. Do I still miss my baby? Yes. Every day.
But I want this blog to have followers. I want people to read it and I want people to enjoy it. So, I have decided to try and blog every day...and even join in on blog hops when I see them, now that the blog is no longer private.

One Month...
Hi baby boy.
Mommy misses you so very much. I love you. You've been on my mind a lot today.
I can't believe you'd be a month old today. I hope you are having fun up in heaven with Mom Mom .
Mommy has seen you in my dreams a few times lately and a few times with Mom Mom. You look happy. You look beautiful. I wish I could hold you in my arms. I know you're watching over me, and helping us make it through so thank you.
Its a new year baby boy and I have a lot of hopes for this year. I am really hoping for lots of good things. Your daddy and I are getting married, and I hope soon we will make you a new baby brother or sister. Its a year of babies..that's what I keep hearing. I hope its true.

Its been awhile!
Wow, I can't believe its been so long since I blogged!
My gallbladder surgery went well...I apparently don't do well with anesthesia, but that's not too bad. It took me a while to feel like my self...but today, almost two weeks later, I'm getting there.
I can't bend too good yet, and I am still under lifting restrictions, as well as I am having trouble sleeping due to not being able to sleep on my stomach. But I'm slowly transitioning back to my stomach as I feel comfortable.
We were very blessed this year. We got so many presents from all different family members!
Our new year was very low key. We spent it out to dinner with two of our best friends at Red Lobster then came back here for drinks and games. It was a nice night.
The best part, is just the ability to look forward. I have been taking folic acid for years, but not always remembering it daily. So as a part of the new year and to prep my body to sustain another, hopefully, pregnancy I am now taking 400 mcg of folic acid daily as well as a Pre Natal Vitamin and DHA supplement. I will continue this until I get pregnant, at which point, they may even decide to up my folic acid.
I have to say, I'm very excited to start this new journey and feel like I am being proactive. I look forward to the new things 2011 has to bring. :)
